HelpsGood is helping Save the Children and the Ad Council promote their new campaign Every Beat Matters. The aim of the campaign is to raise funds to support the efforts and training of frontline health workers around the world. The campaign has gotten a huge groundswell of support with the involvement of OneRepublic. A portion of the sales of their new single, Feel Again, is being donated to support the Every Beat Matters campaign. The song is not just a fundraising vehicle. It truly represents the essence of the campaign — Save the Children traveled the world and recorded actual heartbeats of children in need and the heartbeats were used to compose the song. Listen to tunes. Save a child. This is gonna be a good life.
AT&T launched It Can Wait, a campaign encouraging people to pledge to never txt and drive. There’s a Facebook connected app and a site with videos featuring Victoria Justice and Ryan Beatty along with PSAs and other videos supporting the message.
Yesterday HelpsGood’s President, Michael Bellavia, gave the opening presentation at the Social Media for Nonprofits conference at the UCLA campus in Los Angeles. He provided a framework for developing your social media strategy as well as plans for implementing tactics and developing an editorial content calendar. The deck is now available on Slideshare.
